Patient Comfort and Sedation Dentistry
Approximately 35 million Americans feel nervousness about visiting the dentist. We know that dental phobia is real, and we strive to make our patients feel comfortable and relaxed during treatment. Modern technology, like intraoral cameras, digital X-rays, and digital imaging, enables us to collect relevant data about your oral health without causing discomfort in the process. Once we assess the situation, and develop a plan, our team will listen to your concerns and answer any questions so that you know exactly what treatment entails.
For patients with extreme anxiety, Dr. Ouellette may advise use of oral conscious sedation. Prior to your appointment, you take a dose of anti-anxiety medication so that you enter a state of extreme relaxation. Patients remain conscious during treatment, but remember very little afterward. With oral conscious sedation, a family member or friend must drive you to and from the appointment because of the medication’s sedating effects. You can learn more about oral conscious sedation in our patient library
Alleviate pain and restore your oral health. For a sedation dentist in the Bryant, Benton, or Little Rock area, call our office to set up an appointment.
